AUTOMATIC TITRATORS ACT/ACT2



Titrex ACT family has been designed to simply and precisely satisfy and perform the widest range of potentiometric titrations: acid-base, redox, argentometric, complexometric titrations.

MAIN FEATURES:

  • COMPACT AND MODULAR AT THE SAME TIME: Titrex ACT is a compact as well as modular instrument. It can be configured at will, therefore it is fitted to satisfy the ever-changing laboratory requirements. The burettes for titrant solutions and the peristaltic pumps for the auxiliary reactants can be integrated to the system at any time.
  • SOFTWARE UPGRADING: simply performed by connecting the Titrex ACT to a PC.
  • EASY-TO-USE: the wide graphic display contains all the messages and the icons that make Titrex ACT extremely easy to use. The titrator guides the user in each programming phase, analysis and data interpretation.
  • ON-LINE GRAPHICS: during the titration process the graphic trend is displayed in real time, so that the operator is immediately informed about the analysis trend.
  • GLP: each analytical report obtained with the Titrex is complete and reports: company/institution and operators name, analysis date and time, sample alphanumeric code, titrant consumption, volume/weight, result reported in the desired unit (e.g. % g/etc.).


TRITATION AND SERVICE PROGRAMS

  • It is possible to save in memory up to 30 programs
  • FINAL POINT: titrations with pre-defined pH/mV value
  • EQUIVALENCE: titrations with automatic localization of the equivalent point/s, and pre-defined or incremental additions during the titration (up to 4 equivalent points)
  • DOSAGE: dispensing of pre-defined fixed volumes
  • PRIMING AND BURETTE CLEANING: reactants loading and rinsing at the end of operation
  • CALIBRATION: for pH electrode and sugar analysis (calibration curve)


Specific programs to oenology:

  • PH AND TOTAL ACIDITY: it is performed with a pH electrode (final point titration to pH 7.00) without sample pre-treatment;
  • FREE AND TOTAL SO2: it is performed with double platinum electrode, without sample pre-treatment. Once the sample aliquots have been proportioned in the respective titration vessels (manually or through auto-level), the analysis includes the automatic addition of the auxiliary reactants (H2SO4 and NaOH) by means of peristaltic pumps, with automatic control of the waiting time (alkaline reaction for total SO2). Free, total and combined SO2 analysis can be performed on the same sample (double Ripper) as well;
  • REDUCING SUGARS: the analysis is performed by means of redox titration with a platinum electrode on decolorized and diluted within 25g/l sample. Once the sample aliquots (5ml) have been manually proportioned in the respective titration vessels the analysis can be performed by previous oxidation of the sample.
  • The following two methods are used:
  •  Sample oxidation on a heating plate, available in the oxidation kit
  •  Automatic oxidation with heatable sampler; the analysis of reducing sugars may be fully automatic (oxidation included), i.e. with no need for operator action.

Available in two sizes for ACT models: ACT (existing version suitable for maximum configuration) and ACT2 (compact size version).

Both versions are equipped with a save-space tray placed above the instrument suitable for reagent bottles.


Automatic burettes

  • It is possible to install up to 4 burettes
  • Burette equipped with 48.000 stepper motor
  • 10 ml graduated clear glass syringe and interchangeable PTFE tip
  • Four-way valve (titrant/cleaning reactant suction, titrant delivery, syringe) in anticorrosive material


PUMPS
Very often a titration process requires adding of auxiliary reagents, such as acid for acidifying, water for diluting etc. With up to a manimum of 3 peristaltic pumps, operated together or separately, every stage of titration process can be made truly automatic. The final result can be obtained by just inserting the sample and pressing a key.

Standard autosampler AS23

  • 16 position autosampler (15 working positions and 1 fixed washing position).
  • The instrument has been designed to optimize the sample auto-level analysis procedure so as to speed up the whole preparation. Its lighter and smaller footprint makes it a new and special design.

  • Using the auto-level accessory, which collects excess sample from the delivery tank, a steady well-known quantity is always obtained. Therefore, the operator is no longer required to add samples with a pipette before analysis, thus saving time.

AS 23 MICRO AUTOSAMPLER

  • 35 position autosampler (34 working positions and 1 fixed washing position) for cylinrical plastic provettes
